Keene Country Club to host Takodah YMCA golf tourney — The Keene Country Club will host the 16th annual Takodah YMCA-Bob Ferranti Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament Friday at noon. Cost per golfer is $150, which includes 18 holes, a cart, lunch, goody bag, water, buffet dinner, prizes, raffles and use of the driving range. Post 4 Legion baseball to hold tryouts — The Gordon-Bissell American Legion Post 4 baseball program will hold tryouts for its junior and senior teams Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Alumni Field in Keene. Returning and prospective players must attend. Junior Legion is for players ages 14-17; Senior Legion is for players ages 14-19. Rain date is June 2. Jaffrey Parks and Rec to host basketball summer camp — Jaffrey Parks and Recreation is running its 19th annual Pure Shot Basketball Summer Camp from late June through early August. Conant Athletic Director and former girls’ basketball coach David Springfield is the camp director. The camp offers instruction to co-ed students in grades K-4 in its second week (July 1-3), while students grade 5-12 can attend the camp in weeks one (June 24-28), three (July 15-19) and four (July 29-Aug. 2). Camp days run 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Basketballs are provided, but campers need to bring their own water and sneakers. Cost is $90 per week for Jaffrey residents ($60 for week two) and $100 for non-residents ($70 for week two). Alternatively, Jaffrey residents can pay $25 per day, while non-residents pay $30 per day. Keene State to host basketball camp — The Keene State men’s basketball team will host the Owls Basketball Camp this July. The Keene State coaching staff, along with middle school and high school players and coaches, will be instructing boys ages 8-17. The two sessions will be held July 8-12 and 15-19, with camp days running 9 a.m.-4 p.m. A week of camp costs $220 ($230 if registering after June 15). An additional $50 can be paid for a provided lunch. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registering to hold a camper’s place. Signing up for both weeks comes with a $25 discount.
