Monadnock 13, Conant 2 — Carl Hoden led the Huskies (7-2) past the Orioles (7-4) on both sides of the ball. He pitched a complete game, giving up five hits and striking out four, and went 2-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI.
Kevin Putnam was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI, while Jacob Laplume went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Matt Dodd went 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, Tim Santaw was 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI and Joe Morrell finished 1-for-4 with a run and two RBI.
Monadnock plays at Mascoma Valley Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Keene 4, Brattleboro 2 — Dante LeRoy picked up the win for the Blackbirds (9-5) against their out-of-state opponent, throwing five innings and giving up two runs on three hits and six walks while striking out eight.
Taylor Letourneau and Marcus Soucia each pitched a shutout inning of relief, each giving up one hit and one walk and striking out one. Soucia was also 1-for-4 with a run scored, while Tucker Brown finished 1-for-1 with a double and a run.
Keene’s game at Portsmouth today has been postponed due to the threat of rain.
Keene 7, Brattleboro 6 — The Blackbirds (5-8) rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to come back from a 5-3 deficit. The big hit was a three-run homer by Mara Carey, who finished 2-for-4 with four RBI.
Megan Healey went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, while Alyssa Bartlett finished with three hits and three RBI. Bartlett also earned the win in the circle with a complete game, giving up six hits and one walk and striking out eight.
Keene’s home game against Portsmouth today has been postponed due to the threat of rain.
Monadnock 15, Inter-Lakes 6 — Chris Boucher led the Huskies (6-2) past the Lakers (3-6) with six goals.
Dominic Dow scored four goals, while Chandler Matson recorded one goal and a team-high six assists. Tim Hart tallied two goals and two assists, and Aidan Hart and Justin Joslyn added one goal and one assist each.
Monadnock hosts Brattleboro at the Owl Athletic Complex Saturday at 11 a.m.
Hollis-Brookline 16, Keene 4 — The Blackbirds (2-9) suffered their seventh straight loss, falling to the Cavaliers (9-0).
Mackenzie Corrigan led Keene with two goals and an assist, while Anna Lilly and Aubrey Mitchell also scored. Isabella Sutton finished with 13 saves.
The Birds host Brattleboro Saturday at 11 a.m.
Sanborn 8, Monadnock 1 — Aleta Robinson and Bridget VanVaizah won second doubles, 8-5, for the Huskies’ (1-9) lone victory against the Indians (7-5).
Monadnock plays at Wilton-Lyndeborough Thursday at 4 p.m.
Londonderry 9, Keene 0 — The Blackbirds (2-7) were missing three players in a match originally scheduled for today, and suffered their second straight sweeping loss at the hands of the Lancers (6-4).
Keene hosts Hanover Saturday at 11 a.m.
Conant 9, Monadnock 0 — Sarah Smith (8-3), Abigail Wheeler (8-0), Elizabeth Gonyea (8-3), Kayley Bennett (8-5), Emily Muilenberg (8-1) and Lily Bower (8-2) all won their singles matches to help the Orioles (9-2) beat the Huskies.
Smith and Gonyea won first doubles, 8-1, while Wheeler and Bennett won second doubles (8-4) and Muilenberg and Bower won third (8-0).
Conant plays at Stevens today at 4 p.m.
Keene 3, Mascenic 0 — The Blackbirds (5-3) swept the Vikings (4-6), 25-13, 26-24, 26-24, to snap a three-match losing streak.
Jared Pollock led Keene with 14 kills and seven digs, while Charlie Tousley had a team-high six aces and nine digs to go with seven kills. Job Weghorst recorded 34 assists and five digs, and Myles Bergin finished with four aces, 10 kills and six digs.
The Birds play at Winnacunnet today at 6 p.m.
