Qualifying for the 116th men’s N.H. Amateur golf championship, to be contested July 8-13 at Portsmouth Country Club, begins next week.
The qualifying venues include Bretwood in Keene. A June 12 qualifier there will be staged on the South Course.
The other qualifiers are: May 28, The Oaks Golf Links; May 30, Pease Golf Course; June 5, Stonebridge Country Club; June 25, Eastman Golf Links; and June 30, Beaver Meadow Golf Course.
Golfers with a GHIN handicap index of 12.0 or lower are eligible to try to qualify.
Matthew Paradis of Concord CC and a standout golfer at Southern N.H. University, is the defending State-Am champion. He was runner-up in each of the two previous amateurs before his 2018 win.
