Aidan Kindopp’s highlight reel is well … let’s just say full.
At the Londonderry Invitational Saturday, the Keene senior runner added another moment to splice into his growing feature, winning a classic homestretch duel with Jeffrey Allen of Campbell in the 1,600-meter race.
Kindopp’s winning time of 4 minutes and 25.13 seconds was one one-hundredth of a second faster than Allen’s. Keene’s Nico Ramirez finished fifth; his time of 4:30.01 was a personal best.
In the 800, freshman Torin Kindopp flirted with a sub-2-minute time. His 2:00.32 was good for fifth place. In the same event, teammate Sergio Sartini was seventh fastest, and his time, too, was a personal best: 2:00.46.
Junior Jake Velazquez placed fourth in the 3,200 in 9:54.93, and senior Alex Opsahl took third in the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) and fourth in the triple jump (39-09.25). That was his career-best effort in that event.
Keene competes again Friday at the Division 1 state championship meet at UNH.
