Keene State track and field senior Jared Hannon and junior Lauren Perkowski were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region team, it was announced Monday.
Top-five individuals in each event in each region, in addition to each member of all top-three relay team, earn the honor.
Hannon set a program record in the long jump with a leap of 7.14 meters at the Little East Conference Championships, earning his third conference title and qualifying for the New England Division III Championships, the Open New England Championships and the ECAC New England III Championships. It’s the second straight year Hannon was tabbed All-Region.
Perkowski earned her accolade in the 10,000 meters, running a season-best 37 minutes, 13.57 seconds at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College. She also won the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the LEC Championships, qualifying for the New England Division III Championships, Open New England Championships and ECAC New England III Championships.
