Monadnock 12, Kearsarge 6 — The Huskies (11-2) clinched the No. 3 seed in Division III, beating the Cougars (7-5) behind an eight-goal effort from Chris Boucher.

Tim Hart tallied three goals and one assist, Dominic Dow and Justin Joslyn each recorded two assists and Chandler Matson added one goal and one assist.

Monadnock hosts Stevens at Owl Athletic Complex for its senior night game Thursday night at 6.


Monadnock 10, Hillsboro-Deering 0 (5) — The Huskies (9-2) extended their win streak to six with a mercy-rule win over the Hillcats (3-10).

Matt Dodd pitched his second shutout of the year, allowing just one hit while striking out six. Carl Hoden went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, while Eric Chase was 2-for-2 with a run and two RBI and Tim Santaw finished 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

Monadnock hosts Fall Mountain for a doubleheader Saturday at 10 a.m.

Keene 7, Salem 2 — The Blackbirds (11-5) won their fourth straight, breaking a 2-2 tie with the Blue Devils (0-15) with three runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth.

Peter Haas earned the win on the mound, going 5.1 innings while giving up two earned runs on four hits and four walks and striking out two. Noah Timmer pitched 1.2 shutout innings of relief, giving up one hit and striking out one.

Marcus Soucia went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, while Brian Langevin was 0-for-3 with a run and two RBI and Owen Fauth finished 1-for-4 with a triple and a run.

Keene hosts Nashua North Monday at 4 p.m.
