I have never read a more poetic and interesting article about nature than “Love of color doesn’t grow on trees ... or does it?” by Sierra Hubbard (roots & reflections, Oct. 29).

A real gem in which Hubbard captures the anthropomorphic in the sugar maple that was a victim of the Keene Public Library expansion and disease.

She, meaning Hubbard, and “she” meaning Mother Nature, came to know each other intimately. Thank you for allowing us readers to witness it.
