Ski company Vail Resorts has a systemwide policy to make indoor dining safer at their resorts. It includes the requirement that those wishing to dine indoors show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.

There is an exception at Mount Sunapee. A staff member there told me today that the state of New Hampshire ordered that requirement removed. As the owner of the property, the state seems to have the right to make a private operator to change safety rules. I assume the same policy applies to Cannon Mountain as well.

With the COVID rate of infection at the highest level since the pandemic started, I think the precaution adopted by Vail Resorts and in place at Okemo in neighboring Vermont is good practice. It makes me feel much safer. That’s where I’ll be skiing.
