I always look at “The Public Muse” each week. Each Tuesday and Friday I enjoy reading the works of our community authors of verse.
With that in mind, I was undeniably surprised, yet extremely honored, when I came upon an entry in this Tuesday’s offerings to find an original poem by Shirley Carey mentioning my name, along with Dan Swett, another local poet. I am grateful for this observance, happily knowing the writer of this poem is numbered among the readers of The Keene Sentinel.
I am much obliged, Shirley Carey, for your sincere, considerate words. Likewise, the way you expressed them by putting your genuine thoughts into a poem is absolutely touching. I appreciate what you have done. What is more, I will always remember your kind gesture. I look forward to reading more of your works.
Thank you indeed for your support and encouragement.
