In response to Mr. Villarrubia’s letter of Aug. 14, there are other churches in the area that offer the Traditional Latin Mass.
One is in Nashua, and the other two are located in Agawam and Warren, Mass.
The difference between these three parishes and Saint Benedict Center in Richmond, is that they are canonically recognized by their local bishops.
In other words, these three parishes have the permission from their Diocese to offer Mass in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.
Saint Benedict Center, Inc. does not. The information regarding the lack of permission from the N.H. Diocese was not included in the letter of Aug. 14.
This information would be important for people to be aware of if they wish to attend a Traditional Latin Mass.
And for those interested in local history, the book, “Deliver us, a religious cult vs. Richmond, NH” is available at local bookstores.
