As I watch the news coverage of the horrific events that unfolded at our nation’s Capitol a year ago, it’s clear to me (and any rational individual) that our election system is broken. The good news is that its not too late to fix it.

Our elections are a mess, no doubt about that, but the core principle that guides our process is still intact — that every vote should and must count. Congress has the chance to preserve and strengthen that core belief and put in place common-sense reforms that will restore confidence in our system by passing the Freedom to Vote Act.

As someone who votes Republican, I may not always be happy with the results of an election, but we all must have confidence in the election process itself. Passing the Freedom to Vote Act will help restore that confidence and ensure that every vote does count!
