MANCHESTER — The N.H. Union Leader is supporting Gov. Chris Sununu in his bid for a second term.

The Manchester-based publication recently announced its endorsement of the Newfields Republican in an editorial.

“In two short years, Sununu has achieved real reform. After serving as the Granite State’s smiling ambassador to bring new businesses to New Hampshire, he reorganized the state’s economic development agency to focus on jobs,” the editorial states. “Sununu cleaned out the deadwood at the Division of Children, Youth and Families and brought oversight and accountability to a bureaucracy that had left too many New Hampshire children at risk.”

The editorial continues with additional accolades for Sununu, along with criticism of his Democratic opponent, Molly M. Kelly, a former state senator who lives in Harrisville. Also in the Nov. 6 race is Libertarian Jilletta Jarvis of Sandown.
