TROY — A truck crashed into a house in town Sunday morning, leaving the driver dead, according to Fire Chief Mark D. Huntoon.

Huntoon said Sunday evening that the driver had a medical issue that led to the crash, but declined to give further details.

The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Monadnock and Main streets, according to dispatchers with Southwestern N.H. District Fire Mutual Aid.

Huntoon said the vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole before striking the house, which sustained minor damage.

Troy police were not reachable for comment Sunday and this morning.
