A Keene man was taken to the hospital Tuesday after a single-vehicle crash that damaged a guardrail on Route 9 near the intersection with Chesterfield Road, Keene police said.
Mark Esancy, 45, was taken to Cheshire Medical Center with lacerations to his head and arms, Keene police Lt. Steve Tenney said Wednesday. The crash was reported shortly after noon on Tuesday.
Esancy told police a mechanical issue with his 2006 Subaru Legacy caused the car, which was traveling east, to swerve into the guardrail, Tenney said. No other passengers were in the car with Esancy, police said.
