Cheshire County residents have a new option for Internet service.

U.S. Cellular now boasts high-speed Internet access for all towns in the county, though the service may not be available in all areas. Residents can enter their address on the company’s website to check eligibility and rates.

The service is designed for easy setup, according to Matt Kasper, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in New England.

“No professional installation is required,” Kasper said in an email. “The router is configured using your web browser without the need for special software.”

Plans include data caps ranging from 2 to 120 gigabytes, but U.S. Cellular will not charge overage fees. When customers exceed their data limit, the Internet speed will automatically drop to a lower level for the rest of the billing cycle. Unlimited plans drop speeds after 160 GB are used.

More information is available on U.S. Cellular’s website, at Residents may also call the Keene location at 294 West St. at 357-0300 for details.
