The Savings Bank of Walpole has announced the creation of a new role — and the promotion of a longtime employee to fill it.
Danielle Ruffo is now the community bank’s community engagement coordinator and assistant to the president, according to a recent release from the bank. In the new role, Ruffo will direct the bank’s relationships with the community organizations and initiatives it supports.
“We’re excited to welcome Danielle to this new position,” bank President Mark Bodin said in the release. “A primary focus of her job will be to help SBW in our ongoing quest to support the many organizations that make this community great. With her expertise, enthusiasm and passion for her work and our community, Danielle is a terrific choice and the perfect person to move us forward.”
Ruffo has been with the bank since 2007, in a variety of roles in areas including retail, lending, operations and finance. She is a Monadnock Region native and graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School and Keene State College. She lives in Swanzey with her husband and two children, and her community involvement includes serving as board treasurer of Keene Housing Kids Collaborative and as a member of the Keene Family YMCA’s Community Coalition on Youth.
