Maple Apples

Serves four

2 tablespoons butter

4 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1/4” thick

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 tablespoon maple liqueur (I use Sapling from Vermont)

1 pinch cardamom

Melt butter. Add apples and cook until golden brown about 5 minutes. Add syrup and salt. Cook until apples are soft about 3-4 minutes. Off heat, add liqueur and cardamom.
