ConVal students and faculty were honored for their achievements by the Mary Varnum Platts-Peterborough Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at a luncheon at the Monadnock Inn in Jaffrey.

Junior Natalie LaFleur was honored as the DAR Outstanding History Student. LaFleur was nominated by Eric Bowman and attended with her parents, Jeanne and Art LaFleur, of Peterborough.

Senior Sydney Crete was honored for winning the NH DAR State Scholarship which was previously awarded at the State Conference in April. Crete received $1,000 and will attend NHTI in the fall. Her school counselor, Rebecca Dunn, attended in her honor.

Senior Patrick LaRoche was honored for his leadership in the Sea Cadet program with the DAR Medal.

Art teacher Ben Putnam was recognized for the $500 DAR Classroom grant he received in November. Putnam has used the funds for a wood-fired kiln project at the Sharon Arts Center.
