The Toadstool Bookshop in Keene will host a poetry reading with Elayne Clift, J. Kates, Jennie Reichman, and Charles Butterfield on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m.

The poets will read works from their book “A 21st Century Plague: Poetry From A Pandemic.” The anthology of 70 poems by 53 diverse and award-winning poets offers viewpoints on life during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clift, a Vermont Humanities Council Scholar, has published two poetry collections, two memoirs, and three short story collections; Butterfield, a retired teacher, has published three poetry collections, a biography and a memoir; Kates is a poet and literary translator living in New Hampshire; Reichman, of Vermont, writes and performs songs.
