The Peterborough Town Library Board of Trustees recently announced the creation of the Peterborough Town Library endowment fund. The fund was created with an unrestricted gift of $10,000 from an anonymous donor. The intention of the fund is to support future building maintenance, capital projects and other library expenses.

“Library Trustees invested early in the recently completed Library renovation project,” Trustee Chair Ron Bowman said in a news release. “We spent down our trust funds for exactly the purpose they were given, and we were proud to steward these funds successfully. We are grateful to the anonymous donor, who has helped us kick off efforts to rebuild the endowment and prepare a way for future Town Library Trustees to support the library.”

The newly reopened Peterborough Town Library was completed in September.
