The Peterborough Town Library named assistant director Mary Hubbard as the winner of the Employee of the Year Award on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the library trustee meeting.
The award was established to recognize an employee who demonstrates leadership, dedication to quality patron service and a notable achievement in library service to the community. Hubbard has been a member of the staff for two years and oversees nonfiction collection development, adult programming, and technical literacy curriculum.
“Mary has an amazing commitment to our mission to champion literacy and support community connections. Her dedication to quality patron service is very inspiring. She has a talent for caring for people and helping them to find what they’re good at or what they care about. That’s invaluable for a librarian and a leader,” Library Director Corinne Chronopoulos said.
Hubbard is now working on a project to expand career development and continued education services at the library.
