The United Church of Christ in Keene on Central Square is set to host its annual “Messiah” Sing on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. with soloists and chamber orchestra.
The public is welcome to participate in the chorus or the audience. The group performs Part I (the Christmas section) and ends with the Hallelujah Chorus of Handel’s “Messiah.” Singers needing scores may borrow them from the church for the evening.
Beverly Caldon, music director at the church, will direct from the organ, with string quartet and professional soloists. The musicians for 2019 include JoAnne Mead, soprano; Pamela Stevens, alto; Kirk Bobkowski, tenor; and Gregory Flower, bass.
The concert is free but a $10 donation is suggested to help with expenses. The church is handicapped accessible through the rear entrance off Vernon Street. A reception for all will follow the concert.
