The Old Homestead Garden Club is seeking gardens in Keene and Swanzey to participate in its planned July 2022 garden tour.

The theme of the tour, the club’s first, is “Garden Follies,” and will focus on objects of curiosity and beauty that enhance and bring art to the garden. The date is set for July 23 with a rain date of July 30.

The club is seeking Keene and Swanzey residents who are willing to showcase a local garden, whether flower, vegetable, rock-land, wetland, large or small. The garden should feature a garden folly such as a simple gazing ball, water feature, pathway, bench or statue, but gardens without folly will be considered.

This fall, members of the garden club will visit gardens of those who apply and choose according to location and ease of access for the tour as well as the aesthetics of the garden.
