The Monadnock Conservancy, a land trust for southwestern New Hampshire, is set to host its 7th annual Stories About This Place event Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.
The event is a showcase of people sharing personal stories about life in the Monadnock Region and connection to the land. Speakers include farmer Jodi Farwell of Harrisville, poet Rodger Martin of Hancock, forester Steven Roberge of Peterborough and summer camp professional Doug Sutherland of Hancock.
Attendees are encouraged to enjoy dessert and/or drinks as they watch the program from the comfort of home; the event is free and open to all.
Based in Keene, the Monadnock Conservancy is an accredited organization that has protected nearly 22,000 acres of forest, farmland, shoreline, wetlands, wildlife habitat and recreation trails in the region.
