A new singing semester for Monadnock Chorus is set to begin Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m., the group’s first rehearsal under the baton of Guest Artistic Director Colin Mann.
All singers, with or without choral experience, are invited to register to sing with the chorus. Rehearsals continue weekly at the Union Congregational Church at 33 Concord St. in Peterborough throughout the fall and will culminate with concerts on Dec. 11 and 12 at the Peterborough Town House.
Repertoire for the semester will include Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” and Gerald Finzi’s “In Terra Pax,” as well as anthems from Mendelssohn, Howells, Rutter and Gardner, among others.
COVID protocols will be in place for all rehearsals: all participants must be masked regardless of vaccination status and singers will be distanced during rehearsals.
Monadnock Chorus is open to singers of all levels and ages. No audition is required, and all are welcomed. For additional information on how to join, go to www.monadnock-chorus.org.
