Historian Alan Rumrill will provide a historical perspective on our current situation with an online program, “The Spanish Flu Epidemic in Southwest NH, 1918-1920.” The talk will be held Wednesday, March 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Rumrill will discuss how the Spanish influenza epidemic of 1918 affected southwest New Hampshire and what comparisons can be made to the current epidemic.

Rumrill is the executive director of the Historical Society of Cheshire County. He has written hundreds of articles and eight books on historical subjects and has made more than 1,000 local history presentations. He is a native of Stoddard, where his family has lived since 1770.
