The Haunted Mansion

Keene Public Library is set to hold two outdoor interactive movie events in its courtyard. During each showing, the audience is invited to dress up, shout out, eat snacks and interact with one another. Attendees will be supplied with lines and materials.

First up, the library will show “Haunted Mansion” (2003) starring Eddie Murphy on Friday, Oct. 8, 7 p.m. The movie, based on the Disney theme-park attraction, follows a real estate agent and his family as they find themselves stuck in a creepy old house crawling with ghosts.

Next up, “Beetlejuice” starring Michael Keaton will be shown Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. The 1988 classic tells the story of a recently deceased couple who conjure a devilish spirit to help them scare away the new inhabitants of their home.

Advance registration is highly encouraged due to space restrictions and to ensure there are supplies for everyone. To register, go to www.keenepubliclibrary.org. For information, call 603-352-0157.
