Keene Public Library is set to host several spooky events leading up to Halloween.

First up, the library will host a family Halloween party on Friday at 4 p.m. The event will feature crafts and games in the Keene Public Library courtyard. Costumes are encouraged. Participants can make a trick-or-treat bag and trick-or-treat for books throughout the Keene Public Library.

Also Friday, an outdoor interactive movie event will be held at 7 p.m. Visitors are invited to dress up, shout out, eat snacks and interact with one another while watching the classic 1988 film “Beetlejuice.”

Then, on Saturday at 11 a.m., a program of spooky stories and silly songs will be held in the library courtyard. This program is for children of all ages and their families or caregivers.

To register, go to the Keene Public Library’s calendar at https://keenepubliclibrary.evanced.info/signup/calendar. Participants are asked not to attend if they are sick. Social distancing, hand washing and wearing face masks are encouraged at all events.
