The story of the birth of Jesus will be presented outdoors along Main Street in downtown Hancock on Sunday.
From 2 to 4 p.m., family groups will start off from the Hancock Vestry on self-guided tours in search of the newborn child. The travelers will meander “through Bethlehem” as the Christmas story unfolds. They will follow the star to the Inn, encounter King Herod’s guards and the King himself, visit an encampment of shepherds tending their sheep, and meet a Magi, before finally entering the humble manger to honor the Christ Child, surrounded by angels.
The journey, sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Hancock, is free. Family groups are asked to stay distanced outdoors. When indoors, masks are required and free masks will be available.
