The Fitzwilliam Town Library is offering a virtual talk by Harris Center naturalist Susie Spikol called “Woolly Mammoths: The Long Lost Elephants of New England” on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m.

Spikol will discuss the lives of woolly mammoths, what these ancient relatives of modern-day elephants were and what happened to them. She will also point out how to tell a mammoth from a mastodon.
