The Chamber Singers of Keene are set to perform “Songs of Love and Spring: Madrigals and Ballads through the Ages” Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the United Church of Christ, 23 Central Square in Keene.

Under the direction of Patty Meyer, the concert will feature songs by early composers such as Thomas Morley, John Dowland, Orlando di Lasso; Romantic artists such as Johannes Brahms and Aaron Copland; as well as more modern artists such as John Mulholland and Mack Wilberg.

Also featured will be a four-hand piano accompaniment by mother and daughter Cheryl and Miriam Sharrock, as well as instrumental Baroque music performed on recorders by members of the group.

Tickets are $12 in advance, available from CSK members and at the Keene Toadstool Bookshop, and $15 at the door. Admission is free with a student ID.
