After the retirement of its longtime vice president of manufacturing, Monadnock Paper Mills Inc. has filled the post with an outside hire, the company announced in a news release.
Robert McDonald joins the Bennington-based firm after a stint at Intertape Polymer Group Inc. He fills the shoes of Mark Lombardi, who retired recently after 10 years with the company.
McDonald earned a Bachelor of Science in paper science from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He started his career at Fox River Paper in Appleton, Wisc., where he climbed the ladder to the post of vice president of operations over his 16 years there. He’s also worked for Green Bay Packaging and Finch Paper.
“With his strong asset management skills and experience in a specialty paper manufacturing environment, Bob is a tremendous addition to the executive management team at Monadnock,” Richard Verney, Monadnock Paper chairman and CEO, said in the release.
