The orthopedics department at Cheshire Medical Center recently added a new physician assistant.

The Keene hospital announced the hire of Matt Batis in a recent news release. He earned his Master of Science in physician assistant studies at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in health science from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.

Orthopedics is the medical specialty dedicated to the musculoskeletal system, and the department at Cheshire Medical Center cares for patients of all ages dealing with existing conditions, sports injuries and accidents.
