The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) has honored Kathryn Kindopp, Maplewood Nursing Home Administrator, with the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award.
Based on three years of skilled nursing facility data, including the health, fire safety and complaint surveys, as well as top quartile performance on designated quality measures. Kindopp was one of 351 administrators nationally to receive this award reflecting excellence in facility leadership. Less than 11 percent of facilities nationwide qualify for this award.
On May 15, for a second consecutive year, Maplewood Nursing Home, a 150-bed nursing facility in Westmoreland, was found to be in compliance with no deficiencies cited during both its Annual Recertification and Emergency Preparedness surveys completed by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human services.
Conducted by a team from the New Hampshire Health Facilities Licensing and Certification units, the combined state and federal survey is unannounced and required of all nursing homes every 9 to 15 months. The survey evaluates all services delivered at the nursing facility to all Medicaid, Medicare and private pay residents, as well as facility life safety measures.
