WESTMORELAND — The administrator of the county’s nursing home has been recognized as a rising star in her field.
Kathryn Kindopp, administrator of Maplewood Nursing Home, was named a future leader in long-term post-acute care by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. The recognition earns her a spot in the association’s year-long Future Leaders program, which offers training and guidance in the field, according to a news release from the association. The program kicks off with a two-day symposium in Washington, D.C., in September.
“At AHCA/NCAL we are always searching for the future leaders of our profession. After a thorough review, we have selected Kathryn Kindopp as one of our future leaders,” Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of the AHCA/NCAL, said in the release.
Kindopp has been Maplewood’s administrator for 10 years, and she got her start at the county-owned nursing home 23 years ago.
