The Harris Center for Conservation Education in Hancock recently honored Caitlin Beal of ConVal High School and Karel Wolterbeek of Conant High School with its 2022 Environmental Leadership Awards.

These awards are given annually to graduating high school seniors who have a demonstrated passion for the natural world, a strong commitment to the environment, and the capacity to make a positive impact on their community. Each award comes with a $2,500 scholarship, made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor who believes fervently in the power and promise of young people to create positive environmental change.
