The Keene High boys’ cross country team won the Wachusett Invitational for the fourth straight year Saturday at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, Mass. The Blackbirds finished with 46 team points, while runner-up Hollis-Brookline had 68 and third-place Wachusett finished with 73. Jake Velazquez, second from right, won the race for the second year in a row, finishing in 15 minutes, 39 seconds. He broke the course record and set a personal best for the 5K. Torin Kindopp, third from right, finished third in 16:20, followed by Nico Ramirez, holding plaque, in sixth (16:29), Sergio Sartini, second from left, in 12th (17:00), Silas Johnson, third from left, in 24th (17:29) and Jonathan Hills, fourth from left, in 28th (17:41). Fitsum Visser won the freshman race, coming in at 18:14. Coach Dave Goldsmith is on the far left. Keene runs again today at Manchester Central.
