A proposed law could improve dental care in the Granite State

A year after New Hampshire lawmakers passed a bill expanding the role of some dental hygienists, a group of legislators, including a local lawmaker, is proposing further reform of the state’s oral-health system.

Last week, the Senate Health, Education and Human Services Committee heard testimony from supporters and opponents of Senate Bill 193, which would create a new mid-level dental provider called a “dental hygiene practitioner.”
