The growing “99% Movement” shows the real anger in our country over increasing inequality, insecurity, and lack of opportunity for 99 percent of Americans resulting from the dominating influence of the 1 percent multi-millionaires, mega-corporations, and Wall Street over public policy.
In New Hampshire, the symptoms of this are all too familiar. Many families patch together low-wage part-time jobs without benefits to make ends meet. Property taxes rise even as housing values fall. Attending college puts many deeply in debt. Our highways and bridges — once the envy of the world — are beginning to fall apart. This is not the American Dream we want for New Hampshire.
