A salary proposal for an academic leader at Keene State College who’s applied for a position at a Hawaii university has drawn criticism from some there, according to a Hawaii media outlet.
The University of Hawaii Board of Regents will decide Thursday whether to approve hiring Irene M.H. Herold as head librarian at the University of Hawaii at Manoa for a salary of $16,250 per month, or $195,000 per year, for three years starting Aug. 1. She would also be granted tenure immediately.
