Franklin Pierce student seriously injured in skateboarding accident

RINDGE — An 18-year-old Franklin Pierce University student was airlifted to a Massachusetts hospital Monday with a serious head injury following a skateboarding accident.

Two male students were skateboarding at the intersection of University Drive and Ingalls Road about 6:30 p.m., when they collided, and one fell off his skateboard, hitting his head on the pavement, Rindge Fire Chief Rickard Donovan said.
