It’s hard to see the apples that might be in a handful of seeds headed into the ground. But that’s what Oran B. Hesterman expects of the Antioch New England University graduates he spoke to Saturday as they head off for whatever fruits their futures bear.

On Saturday, Hesterman spoke to 153 students, who received graduate degrees, including 113 master’s degrees in applied psychology, education, environmental studies, and management, 25 doctoral degrees (PsyD) in clinical psychology; three doctoral degrees (PhD) in environmental studies; and one certificate in post-master’s principal certification. Saturday’s event was also the last for University President David Caruso as he is slated to retire this year.
